In the Beginning
The local cacao industry is rich in history and tradition. At Ubergreen, we are committed to honoring this history as we source our True Trinitario Cacao Beans and supply them to local and international consumers and clients. Marrying past with present and future meant embracing scalable and sustainable technology that would help us make the best use of our resources. As a small business within the agricultural sector, we knew we had to build a foundation for technology to be adopted within Ubergreen and extend it to our wider Organic Fine Cocoa and Chocolate Cluster.
Our Road to the Cloud
Our goals meant embracing change and that change came in the form of Microsoft 365 (formerly Microsoft Office 365). In partnership with Davyn, a local technology solutions provider, we benefited from the addition of Microsoft 365’ many digital tools to our day-to-day operations.
Ubergreen’s staff can now seamlessly collaborate and exchange information on-the-go. We use cloud services like Sharepoint, Planner and Teams to share documents, work on sales leads, manage our inventory, plan meetings, and track progress across all functions of the business. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We are taking huge strides towards digitization of the company, and we love it!
Who is Davyn?
Davyn is a gold-certified Microsoft partner with over 20 years of experience providing operational business solutions to organizations within the English-speaking Caribbean. Their work has been transformation for many businesses within the private and public sector, a pivotal example being their award-winning Social Security Platform.
Currently, Davyn holds 2 Microsoft Partner of the Year awards; has over 30 Microsoft certifications for Cloud, Dynamics, and Power Platform; employs over 40 Cloud and Dynamics experts; and services over 150 clients in the Caribbean.
As a trusted cloud provider, Davyn offered a wealth of expertise from implementing cloud technologies across the region. They understand digital transformation. The guidance they provided allowed us to ask ourselves the right questions and focus on what we truly wanted to achieve. With their ongoing support, we’re able to plan and (soon) implement Microsoft 365 within the chocolate cluster.
So, What’s Next?
As our partnership blossoms, so too do our overall goals. We’ll both be sharing much more information soon on upcoming projects from app development to cocoa awards and much, much more! In the meantime follow Davyn and Ubergreen on your preferred social network.
